Attend the school board meeting on Monday, November 11th at 6 PM. There will be a Creede Theatre performance for students at the elementary school in the gym at 1 PM. The mid-2nd quarter ends on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Progress reports will be sent home on Friday, November 15, 2024. Fast Feet Friday: Fast Feet Friday continues each Friday during the regular scheduled times. It's a wonderful opportunity for students to stay active and have fun, so make sure to participate!
No School on Tuesday: Please remember there will be no school on Tuesday, November 5, in observance of Election Day. This is a state-mandated day of observance, allowing everyone the opportunity to participate in this important civic duty.
This week will be a regular week with no scheduled extracurricular activities. We encourage all students to:
Be on Your Best Behavior: Remember to follow the Blue Pride Promise, which emphasizes respect, responsibility, and kindness.
Turn in All Assignments: Stay on top of your schoolwork by ensuring all assignments are completed and submitted on time.

We are thrilled to report that this year's Reading Roundup event was a resounding success! Held under clear skies, we were grateful for the absence of rain, which allowed everyone to enjoy the outdoor activities to the fullest. Students and families gathered to celebrate a love for reading with a variety of engaging activities, from storytelling sessions to book-themed games. The enthusiasm and participation from our community made this event truly special. Thank you to all the volunteers and staff who helped organize and run the event smoothly. Your dedication and support were invaluable in making the Reading Roundup a memorable occasion for everyone involved. This October, our kindergarten class hosted a delightful Teddy Bear Picnic that was truly fun-filled! Students, families, and their cherished teddy bears gathered for a day of joy and camaraderie. The event was a wonderful opportunity for students to bond with their classmates and families, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Activities included fun games, storytelling, and a shared picnic that everyone enjoyed. It was heartwarming to see the smiles and hear the laughter that filled the air. Thank you to all who participated and contributed to making this event a success! Este octubre, nuestra clase de jardín de infantes organizó un delicioso picnic de ositos de peluche que realmente estuvo lleno de diversión. Update on Book Character and Fall Celebration Festivities
Dear Dexter Elementary Families,
After careful consideration, we have decided to cancel the Dexter Elementary Trunk or Treat event. In its place, we are excited to host a Book Character and Fall Celebration Dance Party along with Red Ribbon activities in the gym for our students. This provides a fun and safe environment for everyone to enjoy.
We warmly invite you to join us and share in this festive occasion with your child. Here is the schedule for the event:
Pre-School and Pre-K: 8:40 - 9:00 AM
Kindergarten through 2nd Grade: 9:00 - 9:40 AM
Third through Fifth Grade: 10:00 - 10:40 AM

Roswell Games Rescheduled
The Roswell Games have been rescheduled for Thursday, November 7th. Students who qualified will depart from the Elementary School at 8:30 AM and are expected to return at approximately 2:30 PM. Sack lunches, water, and snacks will be provided to all participants. Please note that permission forms were sent home weeks ago, and only students who have submitted their forms will be able to attend. The event will take place in Roswell at the Wool Bowl, located on Grand Ave. We look forward to an exciting day of games and sportsmanship!
