Thanksgiving Day Lunch Agenda Date: November 15, 2024 Location: School Cafeteria/Gym Schedule Kindergarten Lunch: Time: 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM Location: School Cafeteria/Gym First and Second Grade Lunch: Time: 11:30 AM - 12:00 PM Location: School Cafeteria/Gym Third, Fourth, and Fifth Grade Lunch: Time: 12:00 PM - 12:30 PM Location: School Cafeteria/Gym Guest Entry Procedures Entry Point: Guests will enter through the west doors between the cafeteria and the fourth/fifth grade hallway. Line Formation: Prepaid Line: Guests with prepaid lunch will form one line. Payment Line: Guests needing to pay for lunch will form another line. Payment and Scanning: Diana and Rosalinda will be responsible for scanning guests for prepaid and collecting payments from those needing to pay. Formación de línea: Fila prepagada: Los invitados con almuerzo prepago formarán una fila. Fila de pago: Los invitados que necesiten pagar el almuerzo formarán otra fila. Pago y escaneo: Diana y Rosalinda serán responsables de escanear a los huéspedes en busca de pagos prepagos y recolectar los pagos de aquellos que necesiten pagar.

Svetlana Ponikarchyk (center) is a retired English teacher from the European country of Belarus. She is visiting the Lathrop family and enjoyed paying a visit the Elementary and High Schools. Pictured are Marilyn Lathrop, Svetlana and Charles Lathrop (a 2011 graduate of DHS!). It was a pleasure having her visit!

Ofreceremos tutoría después de clases a nuestros estudiantes actuales del idioma inglés. Las tutorías serán los lunes y miércoles de 3 pm a 4 pm a partir del 4 de septiembre. Se requerirá que los padres recojan a los estudiantes a las 4 p.m. No se proporcionará transporte. Durante este tiempo, practicarán sus habilidades de expresión oral y escrita en un programa llamado Flashlight 360. Este programa está diseñado para aumentar sus habilidades lingüísticas y practicar para el examen ACCESS. We will be offering after-school tutoring to our current English Language Learners. Tutoring will be on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3 pm – 4 pm beginning September 4th. Parents will be required to pick students up at 4pm. Transportation will not be provided. During this time, they will practice their speaking and writing skills on a program called Flashlight 360. This program is geared to increase their language skills and practice for the yearly ACCESS test. Mr. Loveland, Health Sciences instructor, was named the 2024 Advisor of the Year at the recent SkillsUSA state contest. This award recognizes career and technical educators who provide significant contributions to SkillsUSA and career and technical education programs for youth in their fields, communities, and/or the State of New Mexico. They have made significant contributions toward innovative, unique and novel programs; and/or improvement, promotion, research or development of programs of career and technical education. Congratulations, Mr. Loveland!
